He served as Chairman of the Board of Second Chance Employment Services, the nation’s first and only employment placement agency devoted to helping survivors of domestic violence and human trafficking achieve economic independence. Through this mission, Dr. Perlman has provided plastic and reconstructive surgery to women affected by abuse, restoring not only their physical wellbeing but also their confidence and dignity.

Dr. Perlman currently serves as a Member of the Board of Advisors for the Ending Abuse Resource Center, headquartered in New York City and Washington, D.C., a national organization dedicated to prevention, advocacy, and recovery for victims of abuse. In alignment with his philanthropic spirit, he has recently begun performing pro bono surgeries for patients referred through the Center, further expanding his impact on survivorslives. He also serves on the Board of Directors for Enough Is Enough, a national nonprofit committed to making the internet safer for children and families by combating online exploitation and abuse.
