Wendy Federman is a thirteen-time Tony Award winning theatre and film producer.
She has also received two Olivier Awards, eleven Drama Desk Awards, twenty Outer Critics Circle Awards, and eighteen Drama League Awards for many of her over 90 co-productions. She is also a three-time GLADD Media Award winner. Her current and upcoming shows on and off Broadway, on US National Tour, and in London include: Dear Evan Hansen, Hadestown, To Kill a Mockingbird, Ain’t Too Proud-The Life and Times of the Temptations, Beetlejuice, Moulin Rouge!, Jagged Little Pill, Tina: The Tina Turner Musical, Funny Girl, Life of Pi, Leopoldstadt, New York, New York, Parade, Peter Pan Goes Wrong, Here Lies Love, The Play That Goes Wrong, and Little Shop of Horrors.
Broadway & Film Producer
Wendy is also a film producer who served as Producer of Wakefield, starring Bryan Cranston, Co-Executive Producer of The God Committee, starring Kelsey Grammar, and Executive Producer on the upcoming film, LILLY, based on the life of fair pay advocate Lilly Ledbetter. Wendy was significantly involved with the founding of the Museum of Broadway which opened in Time Square, New York in the summer of 2022. Wendy also founded an annual fund-raising event, “Broadway’s Got Guts,” is the chair of the Nominating Committee of the annual Chita Rivera Awards, and serves as Advisor for unique works of entertainment.
In addition, Wendy received the 2020 Award of Excellence from the Capital Speakers Club of Washington, D.C. and was also a 2019 recipient of the Ellis Island Medal of Honor which is awarded to 100 Americans whose accomplishments in their field and inspired service to our nation are worthy of commendation. Wendy has also served as trustee on several significant boards including the John F. Kennedy Center’s National Committee for the Performing Arts, The Foundation for Gender Equality, Bergen Performing Arts Center, MCC Theater, Gilda’s Club, and Penguin Repertory Theater.
